20 Steps to Tranquility by Daniel Burt
This treestand is on three acres of land, and it has served its purpose for twenty plus years, I have taken more deer out of this tree than a lotta of peaple have seen in the woods. But the true story is about the stand itself. No matter how tough life gets, bills, jobs, money, sicknesses, etc for three months of the year when I hit the top step, sit down, listen to the sounds of the woods, hear the crunch of leaves as that buck passes close by, I forget all the problems I have. We should all be thankful for the woods that God has gave us! So the next time you go hunting just look around - you will be amazed!
Tennessee 9 Year Old's First Deer by James Butler
This is my son Jimmy Butler, he is nine years old and bagged this unusual 8 pointer on his first hunt. We had seen this deer on our trail camera, it needed to be taken and thought it would be a great first deer. I was very proud that he was able to let some other nice looking deer pass by and wait for this one. As far as my son is concerned it was a world record deer.
Pronghorn Hunt: Two Years in the Making by Derek Bunch
My father and I waited two years two draw a pronghorn tag in a specific unit in NW South Dakota. Our patience paid off and we were on our way. A day and a half's drive from SW Missouri and we reached Faith, South Dakota. We arrived on the 9th of Oct. and immediately set up camp and hopped on the four wheelers to get some scouting in. While we were scouting, I spotted what I thought was a white rear-end in the bottom of a valley, and sure enough it was an awesome pronghorn buck!
19 Pt. Tennessee Deer by Kelvin N. Jones
It was the second weekend of bowhunting this year, 2008. I had moved my stand the previous weekend to a more select spot which was deeper in a swamp on the Wolf River. I had been in my stand since 6:00 am and it was creeping up on 9:30, nothing but squirrels and one lone opossum to get my attention so far. Scanning the area watching for any movement I locked on one opening in the tree line.
