SCI Files Lawsuit to Reverse ESA Listing of Polar Bears 09/12/08
Safari Club International (SCI) filed a lawsuit on September 8th challenging the listing of the polar bear as "threatened" under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) which led the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to ban imports of polar bear trophies from Canada. [1 Comment]

Permit Required to Import Canadian Hunter-Harvested Game Meat 08/08/03
Hunters can immediately begin bringing wild ruminant meat products intended for their personal use into the United States, but will need a “Veterinary Services Special Permit for the Importation of Hunter-Harvested Wild Ruminant Meat,” along with one of the following: a valid Canadian export certificate for game meat, or a copy of a valid hunting license or a valid hunting tag. A Bad Night in Yellowstone
It is odd that I would be here, in this hospital bed, writing this story. Odder yet, that I am alive yet to tell it. But if I do not, it won't get told. Camping: it is something I usually enjoy very much, but this night, as many others, I was in enough pain to make it look less than attractive.
