With the modern fixation on trophy class game, antlerless hunting tends to be overlooked. However, if you want to get in the field more, hunt with less pressure, improve your odds of drawing a tag, or to introduce a new person to the world of hunting; a female only tag is worth considering. Foregoing the antlers benefits game management and is still a rewarding experience.

Wyoming Trophy Bull Elk
This bull elk was shot up the North Fork, out of Cody Wyoming in 2007. He gross scores 421, but after a deduction for his seventh tine he drops down to 401. He is 3/8 inch short on the one tine to be non typical.
