Hunting the King of the Forest Hunkered behind a large spruce tree, I watched in amazement as a massive bull displayed his dominance on a nearby ridge. Guttural grunts followed by aggressive raking captured the undivided attention of two cows standing a short distance away. It was early October, peak of the moose rut in Alberta. My lovesick moans held his attention but weren't enough to close the deal. So I stepped it up a notch. After emitting a series of low grunts, I grabbed a nearby log and raked the tree branches before me.

Julie and Tom's Texas Pig Hunt When Julie, my wife, over heard me talking with a hunting buddy about
going hog hunting in Texas she expressed an interest in going also.
Julie bird hunts with me all the time but never expressed an interest in
bigger game. I jumped at the chance to get her ready for our Texas hog
hunt. Since most of my rifles carry a pretty stout kick I decided to do
some research and come up with a new 'outfit' for Julie's first hog hunt.
Lure in That Black Bear Beaver castor dried is flammable. Put one pound castor in a coffee can with 2 ounces of sterno, set in bottom of bait barrel, light with match. Leave area, or you will smell like a beaver for months!
